National Drop Everything and Read Challenge 2020
We often do DEAR time in school and this Friday at 12.00 you are being challenged to drop everything at home and read a book of your choice for fun.
Maybe an adult could send a photo of you taking part in the Drop Everything and Read Challenge and send it to your teacher on ClassDojo!
Fire Station Visit
We were very lucky to get our Fire Station visit in before the schools closed. The children were given a chance to wear a real fireman's hat, examined the different equipment in the fire truck and got to sit inside the fire engine! Our visit was cut a little short as the firemen/women got a call and had to go! It was all very exciting! Thank you so much to Bray Fire Station for having us!

The boys and girls from Ms O’Sullivan’s class planted some Giant Sunflower seeds with Joe in pots in our Polytunnel yesterday. We are really looking forward to seeing them grow. When they are tall enough we will replant them outside in our sunny garden and then we will hopefully get to watch as they grow as tall as Joe himself !

Paired Reading with St. Kilian’s C.S. First years
Our Junior Infant classes were visited by a lovely, enthusiastic group of first years who read the children some fabulous stories such as ‘The Gruffalo’, ‘Monkey Puzzle’, ‘Room on the Broom’ and ‘Bedtime at last’ in small groups. It was great to see some of our past pupils back displaying such confidence and giving our young children such an amazing experience.
