Ms Egan's class had a wonderful Sports Day.
The children had a wonderful time!
We all tried our hardest and earned medals!
Ceili
Claire Dowling ran a ceili for all the children in the school. She paired an older child with a younger child and they practiced their Irish dancing. The children really enjoyed themselves!
Operation Transformation
The whole school took part in the Operation Transformation '10 at 10' initiative. At 10am everyone did 10minutes of physical activity.
A huge well done to Ms Brady and her second class who organised the event and demonstrated the Macarena dance for everyone to follow. There were more exercise going on in the senior yard for the older children too!

Active School Flag
On Monday 15th February we raised our Active School Flag.
The whole school were there to see the flag being raised.
We were very lucky that Donal O'Mahony, a gold medallist from the Special Olympics was there to help us raise the flag. Donal attends Lakers Sports and Recreational Club in Bray.
We had children speak about all the activities we did to earn our flag last year.
Lots of children wore special clothes from their local sports teams.
Ruth from the Sports Promotion Unit spoke to us about being active.
It was a super day!
